IATS Awards Undergraduate Scholarships
The Iowa Athletic Trainers' Society has awarded three athletic training scholarships to undergraduate athletic training students.
The Iowa Athletic Trainers' Society is pleased to announce the 2010 receipiants of undergraduate scholarships. The winners are Deanna Clasen of the University of Northern Iowa, Samantha Narveson of Buena Vista University, and Kellianne Roach of Iowa State University.
Deanna Clasen is currently a junior at the University of Northern Iowa and she received the Reggie Speak Undergraduate Scholarship. She is a native of Humboldt, Iowa and will graduate from Northern Iowa in April, 2011. Upon graduation she intends to pursue a graduate degree in athletic training or a related field.
Samantha Narveson, originally from Chatfield, Minnesota, is a junior at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. She will graduate from Buena Vista University in May, 2011. She also plans to pursue graduate education upon graduation, she has yet to determine a course of study for her Masters Degree.
Kellyanne Roach, is currently a junior at Iowa State University. She hails from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She will complete her Bachelors degree from Iowa State in May, 2011. Kellyanne also plans on pursuing graduate education upon graduation from Iowa State. She would like to pursue a Masters in Higher Education, eventually she desires to become a Head Athletic Trainer and Instructor in the College or University setting.
